Carne Guisada Recipe

Carne Guisada is a traditional Mexican stew made with beef, tomatoes, and spices. This recipe is easy to make and is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients:

– 2 lbs beef stew meat
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons chili powder
– 1 teaspoon cumin
– 1 teaspoon oregano
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 2 cups beef broth
– 2 cups diced tomatoes
– 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
2. Add the beef stew meat and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
5. Add the beef broth and diced tomatoes and bring to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
7. Add the cilantro and stir to combine.
8. Serve with warm tortillas or over rice.
