Easy Flour Tortillas {Made with only 5 Ingredients!}

This recipe for Easy Flour Tortillas is a great way to make delicious, homemade tortillas with only 5 ingredients! The tortillas are soft and pliable, and perfect for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and more.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the vegetable oil and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  6. Using a rolling pin, roll each ball of dough into a thin circle, about 8 inches in diameter.
  7. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place one of the tortillas in the skillet and cook for about 1 minute, until lightly browned. Flip the tortilla and cook for another minute, until lightly browned.
  8. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
  9. Serve warm.
