  • 1 block of extra-firm tofu

  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Drain the tofu and press it between two paper towels to remove any excess moisture. Cut the tofu into cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Place the cubed tofu in a shallow dish and pour the sauce over it. Let the tofu marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Place the cornstarch in a shallow dish. Remove the tofu from the marinade and coat it in the cornstarch.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.
