Crispy Chilli Beef

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. beef, cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add the ginger, cumin, chilli powder, paprika, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the beef broth, soy sauce, tomato paste, honey, and rice vinegar and bring to a boil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over steamed rice.
