Creating Caprese Salad: A Step-by-Step Guide


Caprese salad is a classic Italian dish that is both simple and delicious. Made with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and olive oil, this salad is packed with flavor and nutrients.   • 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Wash and dry the tomatoes and basil leaves. Slice the tomatoes into 1/2 inch rounds and place them on a large plate.
  2. Slice the mozzarella cheese into 1/4 inch rounds and place them on top of the tomato slices.
  3. Drizzle the balsamic vinegar and olive oil over the tomato and cheese slices.
