Tamagoyaki Recipe

Tamagoyaki is a Japanese omelette made with eggs and cooked in a special rectangular pan. It is a popular breakfast dish in Japan and is often served with rice and miso soup. This recipe will show you how to make a delicious tamagoyaki that is sure to please.


– 2 large eggs
– 2 tablespoons of dashi
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons of mirin
– 2 tablespoons of sugar
– 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil


1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until combined.
2. Add the dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to the eggs and whisk until combined.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a tamagoyaki pan over medium heat.
4. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and spread it out evenly.
5. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom of the omelette is golden brown.
